Leah Platt,  25, armed and dangerous, was shot and by police, once in the arm and once in the head, around 5:00 am, after a high speed chase that lasted about an hour, with her driving at speeds in excess of 100 MPH with the lights out.

It all started around 4 am when she stole a vehicle from a man at gunpoint on Old Hwy 15 loop.

The chase ended on A Dean Road in Little Rock as many families were just waking up, getting their children ready for school, and taking out the garbage.

No other injuries have been reported.

She made a fatal mistake, when she went down A. Dean Road.  As resident Tim Dean put it, "You gotta pay a toll to cruise A. Dean road.  There are two ways in and no ways out!  She didn't make it out."

According to an eye-witness, she fired on police, and even after being shot the woman was still back-talking the police.  Whether she was high on drugs or mentally deranged, remains to be seen.

When ask who the woman was, one of the residents responded, "A wrong turn".

It is said, she first told officers she was from Newton, then said she was from Little Rock.

No officers or residents are reported to have been harmed.  She was taken to Anderson's hospital and has since been released, and is facing numerous charges.
